洲際酒店集團 (IHG) 今年大幅改版了它們的常旅客計劃，更名為 IHG One Rewards，同時最高等級的鑽石會員福利也得到了大幅加強（更多信息可以參考這篇文章）。本來IHG大使計劃是 InterContinental 品牌獨享（後來也加入了Kimpton, Regent），為了想要洲際酒店的待遇，很多人選擇加入大使計劃（入會交$200或者花40k點數），皇家大使是要住夠了一定晚數和消費達到一定金額後受邀請才能升級到這個會籍。隨著鑽卡福利加強（尤其是在洲際、麗晶、金普頓也能選擇免費早餐），本身就是對IHG Ambassador的一個衝擊，現在IHG大使還要被砍福利，吸引力進一步降低：
- 從2023年起，大使和皇家大使的周末免費一晚將無法在 Regent 和 Kimpton 使用。
- 從2023年起，大使和皇家大使在 Regent 不再有福利
Complimentary Weekend Night
23. The complimentary weekend night may be redeemed up to 12 months from the date on which the certificate is issued, cannot be extended and is redeemable once only in conjunction with a minimum two-night paid stay when booking the Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night』 rate at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and participating Regent Hotels & Resorts. It is not valid to be used on any other rates.
i. Valid at participating Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Regent Hotels & Resorts for stays until December 31, 2022. Not applicable at Regent Hotels & Resorts within Greater China.
大使和皇家大使的福利之一是每年周末免費一晚：需要連續入住2晚，第一晚付現金，第二晚可免費。從23年1月1日起，這個福利就無法在 Regent & Kimpton 旗下酒店使用了。而且是看入住時間，不是預定時間。本身現在還有一個加入 Amabassador 計劃的促銷，入住2晚可得20k點的活動（加入花$200或者40k點數），本來加入後用住二付一就直接搞定任務（23年1月31日截止），但是現在突然宣布23年1月1日起在 Kimpton/Regent 沒法用了，很打擊入會的積極性啊。
除了 Free Weekend Night，另一大變化是大使和皇家大使在 Regent 的福利全部被砍，以下是本來在麗晶入住時能享受到的福利，23年起全部都沒了。
Regent Hotels & Resorts
39. InterContinental Ambassador and Royal Ambassador benefits applicable at participating Regent Hotels & Resorts for stays throughout 31 December 2022.The following benefit alternatives or exceptions are applicable when staying at Regent:
a. A local ‘Signature Amenity’ benefit shall be offered.
b. Royal Ambassador minibar credit capped at USD50 per day and USD200 per stay may be replaced by an alternative credit of equal value at the discretion of each hotel.
c. Royal Ambassador two category room upgrade replaced by a one category upgrade. Room upgrade is upon availability at Regent Hotels & Resorts in Greater China.
d. Early Check-in and Extended Check-Out for Ambassador and Royal Ambassador members are always subject to availability at Regent Hotels & Resorts in Greater China.
e. Complimentary breakfast: One complimentary full breakfast for each night of the stay for the Ambassador member, valid only in the main restaurant. Not applicable to in-room dining. Valid in Mainland China only.
Note: If a Diamond Ambassador member chooses the Welcome Amenity Free breakfast for two, they will only receive up to two breakfasts, which will be for the member plus one additional guest
f. All Ambassador and Royal Ambassador members will be entitled to a restaurant and bars discount. Valid in Greater China only.
總體上感覺IHG Ambassador這個計劃的定位更加尷尬了，一方面是IHG One Rewards大幅增強了福利（而且很多福利不限品牌），另一方面居然大使還在砍福利；本身我以為為了吸引更多人加入大使，至少福利會增強一些，沒想到還減少了…搞不懂IHG在想啥。
