Benefits
- Earn up to 20,000 bonus LifeMiles after the first purchase. The best offer is 35k, it’s better to wait for the highest sign-up bonus if you are not in an urgent situation.

- No Pre-Set Spending Limit, but you still need to make the statement balance be smaller than a specific amount.
- Earn 2 miles per $1 spent directly on Avianca Airlines (AV) purchases and 1 mile per $1 spent on all other purchases
- Earn 6,000 LifeMiles after you pay each annual fee.
Disadvantages
- $75 annual fee, waived for the first year.
- It has foreign transaction fee, so it's not a good choice outside the US.
- If you are approved but not qualified for the Visa Signature card (at least $5,000 credit limit), you will be automatically downgraded to the lower rewards version, which has much worse rewards, and it’s pretty much useless.
Recommended Application Time
- We recommend you apply for this card after you have a credit history of at least two years and you are very comfortable with the credit card game.
Summary
You should consider this card only if you have some knowledge about AV miles. And a one line suggestion: don’t consider US Bank when you are a newbie!
